The Cortland Figure Skating Club’s Learn to Skate program is great for everyone… whether it’s your first step on the ice or you just want to improve your skating skills. Getting started is easy and fun. Our group lessons are taught by professional instructors with years of experience in coaching beginners. After one lesson, you’ll be hooked!

Learn to Skate Program
Our Learn to Skate program provides group lessons for all ages (from 4 years old and up) and abilities. Skaters receive a 30 minute group lesson with an instructor, guided by the United Skates Figure Skating Association Basic Skills program. There is also 15 minutes of free time for the students to practice what they have learned.

Days & Times
We offer two separate days of Learn to Skate lessons. Skaters may choose to participate on only one day or may chose to skate both days. Days and times are:

SATURDAYS   NOON - 12:45pm
WEDNESDAYS    6:30 - 7:15pm

Skaters are grouped together by age and ability. Two 10-week sessions are offered. At the end of each 10-week session, each skater will go through a skill test to establish their official USFSA Basic Skills skating level.
